How big are the crates? Our industrial-strength crates measure 27" L x 17" W x 12" H. They stack perfectly, lock shut, and hold significantly more weight than standard cardboard.
How long can I keep the crates? We offer flexible 2-, 3-, and 4-week rental periods. Our standard 2-week window is the local favorite: get your crates delivered 7 days before your move to pack at your own pace, then take 7 days after move-in day to unpack before we retrieve them.

1-Bedroom Pack: 25 Crates + 1 Heavy-Duty Dolly
2-Bedroom Pack: 35–40 Crates + 1 Heavy-Duty Dolly
3-Bedroom Pack: 50 Crates + 2 Heavy-Duty Dollies
4-Bedroom Pack: 60+ Crates + 2 Heavy-Duty Dollies
When will you deliver and pick up my crates? We schedule local deliveries and pickups 7 days a week, offering convenient morning and evening drop-off windows. You'll receive a confirmation email when you book, a reminder 48 hours prior to your slot, and a direct text from our driver when we're en route.
Do I need to be home for drop-off and pickup? Yes. An adult must be present to sign for the inventory delivery and inspect the crates upon final pickup.
Are the crates sanitized between rentals? Absolutely. Every Burgess & Sons crate undergoes a thorough high-pressure wash and eco-friendly disinfection process before arriving at your home.
Do I need to clean the crates before returning them? Nope, we handle all the sanitizing. We just ask that you wipe out any major dust or accidental liquid spills.
What happens if a crate gets damaged or lost? Our heavy-duty crates are built tough for residential moves. However, if a crate is permanently damaged, lost, or unreturned, a replacement fee of $25 per crate will apply.
Can I write on or label the crates? Please do not write on the crates with permanent markers or apply high-tack tape directly to the plastic. Permanent marker damage incurs a $25 replacement fee.
Can I buy crates permanently? Yes. Crates can be purchased outright for $25 per crate.
Can I extend my rental or change my dates? Need extra time to unpack? You can extend your rental period week by week through your online account or by calling us at 401-487-0012.
What is your cancellation policy? You can cancel your reservation for a full refund up to 5 business days before your scheduled delivery date.
Is delivery included in the price? Yes! A flat $20 local delivery and pickup fee is automatically bundled into your package price—no hidden drop-off charges at checkout.
